América Valdés was born in Madrid, Spain into a family of actors. Her father is the popular Cuban actor and comedian Alexis Valdés and her mother is the Chilean-Spanish actress Paulina Gálvez. Her debut was as a toddler in the film Un Rey en la Habana directed by her father and at age of three the family moved to Miami, Florida, and America took her first steps on television appearing live and in comedy sketches in the late night show presented by Alexis. She did dance and vocal training throughout high school. America began working as a model at the age of 14, and after getting a lead part at 18 in the TV series El Galan, for Disney and Star Plus Latino, America moved to Mexico. She has also participated in the Netflix series El Rey. The Vicente Fernandez biopic where she portrays Tania Tejeda. She is filming the second season of the series El Galan where she plays Cristal. America has recorded songs with various artists and has released his first single. She is fully bilingual. Show less «
