Anna Moore is an American actress born in San Francisco, California to Mary Judith Pleissner (an archaeologist) and Dr. Stephen Moore, PhD (a statistician). Her ancestry includes English, Swedish and French. Throughout her adolescence, Moore studied drama and dance, starring in many school plays and musicals. She was best known by her instructors for playing the lead role in the musical comedy "Once Upon A Mattress," for which she donned a convincing New York City accent at the age of fifteen.At age seventeen, Moore moved to New York City to pursue her acting career, where she attended and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA (with Honors) in Drama. Her first break came in 2007 when she appeared opposite Uma Thurman in feature film The Life Before Her Eyes, directed by Vadim Perelman. In the same year, Moore appeared in her first major television role on Law & Order: Criminal Intent as political activist "Sarah Myers."Moore's breakthrough role as "Alice" in feature film Fighting Fish won her critical acclaim and several awards, including "Best Actress in a Feature Film" at the 2011 Domani Vision Film Festival (New York City) and "Best Picture" at the 2011 La Femme Film Festival (Los Angeles, CA).
