Britt Allcroft is a born storyteller and visionary. Her work as the creator of the award-winning series Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and Shining Time Station, has enthralled children and their grown-ups. Bringing beloved stories to life for television with off-screen entertainment that compliments and inspires. Britt's success as a businesswoman is renowned; she co-founded The Britt Allcroft Company (recently acquired by HIT Entertainment). With her vision, the company pioneered the creation of synergy between on-screen and off-screen entertainment. Thomas & Friends became a worldwide merchandising and television phenomenon under Britt's guidance, and he continues to be a part of the hearts and homes of children worldwide. It is Britt's love of storytelling, creativity and imagination that led her to start her new production company, Britt Allcroft Productions, to create entertainment for all ages to enjoy. Britt's storytelling ability, entrepreneurial spirit and her practical knowledge -- that no band of believers is complete without the investment of money, time and outreach - are the core strength of her new company. The essence of entertainment is magic. Britt's work in film and children's television brings this magic to life for her audience time and again.
