Charlie was born in Miami, Florida. From an extremely early age, Charlie has always paid special attention to films, studying details that people wouldn't usually remember after seeing the movie. In his backyard, he would use household props to perform self-written skits and get several of his unobliging family members to take part in them. While his talent was sparked at a young age, it wasn't until the age of 14 that Charlie would take the first step to making acting his life-long career.When enrolling in high school, he was faced with the option to continue taking art classes or to overcome his shy nature and finally take an acting class. He signed up for Drama I, where he got the very last spot available. His first assignment in Drama I is simple in acting terms: to write a monologue and to perform it. However, this was no easy task for Charlie and his crippling shyness. Naturally, he was the first called up to perform his monologue. Shaking while he sat in a chair upon the stage, he delivered this monologue, however poorly, he did not care. But when he finished, he felt a mountain lift from his shoulders and a fear begin to diminish. It was then that Charlie realized that actors are some of the bravest people in the world, and it paved the way for him to begin growing as an actor.Charlie remained an active thespian in his statewide-acclaimed high school. Just the following year, he was cast in his first leading role as Charlie Gordon in Daniel Keys' Flowers for Algernon, a milestone he was privileged to accomplish at such an early start. From there, Charlie went on to do award-winning performances, such as "Crosses to Bear" (Kurt), "Antic Spring" (Elbert), "Hard Candy" (Dave/Fred), Once Upon a Mattress (The Wizard), and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Starveling). He also did exceptionally well in competition throughout the years with performances from selected scenes in Proof, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Emma, and "Entertaining Mr. Helms," carrying the most events his senior year by a student in a district-wide celebration of award-winning pieces, the Superintendent's Showcase. Also at the showcase, he won a prestigious performance-based scholarship out of all of the tremendous talent in South Florida, the Betsy Kaplan Scholarship.Upon graduating high school, he continued to pursue acting at The Florida State University, where he took a special interest in film. His best training came in his college years, where he did the mainstage new play called "Welcome to Bedlam, er, Bethlehem... ?" He also performed as the druggie-hustler Lance in Nicky Silver's The Altruists. He did many showcases of his work from his classes and had the privilege to study abroad in the center of London, England, in the fall of 2008. Throughout college, he was lucky enough to be able to study a wide variety of acting techniques, including Stanislavski and Meisner. He was also able to delve into the classics, where he developed a special affinity with Shakespeare's works. His true passion lied in film, where he was cast in many student shorts. He learned a lot about film technique with FSU's Film School.Charlie now resides in Los Angeles, California, where he is pursuing his life-long dream of being a successful actor. Since moving to Los Angeles, he has appeared in a commercial for Western Dental, starred in a number of web series', and in 2014 he played Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Show less «
