Vampire fans remember Danielle Sapia best as "Maudette Pickens," a girl looking for love in all the wrong places, in the first season of True Blood (2008). She had already proven to be an artist having performed at the Mark Taper Theater and appeared in several films and television shows. Her first love was softball, having been coached in her youth by her father and continuing to play through college. She graduated college with a double major in Theater Arts and Journalism. Danielle had been a long time fan of Allen Ball, having read his plays in college and later produced and acted in "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress." She was more than thrilled to work with Alan and be a part of True Blood. As an activist for the arts and arts education, Danielle had been volunteering for organizations fighting to keep the arts in public schools. Her passion grew stronger as she became more involved, deciding to go back to school and obtain a graduate degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Change from Pepperdine University. During her studies, she traveled to Africa, working in an organization dedicated to saving children from the corrupted streets of Nairobi and teaching them the tools and skills to survive and earn a living. Danielle returned from Africa dedicated more than ever to make a difference in the lives of others. She continued doing guests appearances before deciding to follow her heart and accepted a position at an organization dedicated to cancer, diabetes, and AIDS/HIV research and treatment. Show less «
