Danny grew up in Jacksonville, Florida the youngest child of Hurley and Aloha Diess. Following a relocation to Oregon he obtained a GED at Tongue Point Job Corps in Astoria in 1995. Danny spent most of the 1990's performing in several nightclubs, most notably the infamous City Nightclub in Portland, Oregon doing performance art and by the end of the decade had carved out a respectable and somewhat controversial reputation as a prolific stage performer. In 2004 Danny decided to study Psychology at Marylhurst University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 2010. In 2012 he started pursuing a professional acting career. His first credited role was in The Bus (2013), directed by Howard Mitchell. The film was well received and featured in the 36th Annual Portland Film Festival, and televised on Oregon Public Broadcasting. In 2013, Danny began studying acting at the Portland Actors Conservatory, taking various courses in the studio program, and was a featured extra and stand-in actor on the NBC series Grimm, during its second season. In 2014, Danny was accepted at Portland Actor's Conservatory as a full-time student in the Professional Acting two year Program. Danny has also done an episode as a featured extra playing a prison guard for the IFC comedy series Portlandia. Danny has also finished another short film with director Howard Mitchell where he plays a train conductor. The films title is "Le Tram". The film is part of a three part series of short films created by the director. In December of 2015 Danny played Flute/Thisbe in The Portland Actors Conservatory production of William Shakespeare's Midnight Summer Dream Directed by Elizabeth Rothan. In April of 2016 at the Conservatory Danny played the character Eddie Stuckey who notoriously shot ten Amish girls in an Amish school house. The Production of "The Amish Project was directed by Beth Harper. The play was written by Jessica Dickey and is a fictional exploration of true events that took place in 2006 in Nickel mines Pennsylvania. The play received very positive reviews and Danny's portrayal of the mentally disturbed character was praised by critics and audiences alike. After graduating from The Portland Actors Conservatory in the spring of 2016 Danny worked on a comedy film with director Alex Magaña entitled "Slapped" The Movie. The film is now available on Amazon.com and was theatrically released to limited theaters in 2018.
