Debra Mulholland aka. Debby, Deb...was born on August 18th,1959 in Napier New Zealand to Ian Mulholland, an engineer, musician and sportsman, and Ngaire Mulholland an artist. In the early 1980s Debra moved to London where she studied and trained as an improviser and comedian. She performed with an improv troupe at venues all over London before moving to Paris to study physical theatre at the famous Jacques Lecoq School. She is a prolific actress and comedian, performing now for more than 30 years. On arriving in Amsterdam in the early 1990's she worked with comedic companies, and as a solo comedian in the areas of improvisational comedy, sketch comedy, musicals, as an animator, character actress and stand up comedy. She writes and produces theatre, directs, teachers and is an actress appearing in commercials and film. She is a voice over artist, and a role-play actress In the early 1990's, arriving in Amsterdam.. Debra looked for somewhere to carry on with her training as a performer (in English), she found there was nothing on offer, so designed and created a program which became the now prestigious 'Mulholland Academy', a studio for the study of theater and film acting.
