E. Harvey Walker was born in Los Angeles, California on May 28, 1970, the son of Dorothy Croom and Jewett (deceased) Walker, Sr. Harvey grew up in a Christian household in Charlotte, North Carolina where his father was Methodist minister and his mother a kindergarten teacher. Having attended Catholic School from 4th to 12th grade, Harvey immersed himself in basketball, theatre, choral ensembles, gospel choirs and traveling singing troupes. After receiving his high school diploma, Harvey entered the prestigious Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia.Performing was introduced to Harvey in the church. Christmas plays, gospel concerts, Easter Speeches and public speaking (another form of acting to Harvey) was how he developed his gifts. Never shy, yet sometimes nervous, Harvey would develop into a powerful speaker and singer which parlayed well into high school productions like "Anything Goes" by Cole Porter and "Oklahoma" by Rogers and Hammerstein. While obtaining his college degree in Banking and Finance, he modeled for homecoming shows, became a BMI writer, sang in churches and enjoyed college life.Nearing his graduation from Morehouse College, Harvey was conflicted about working in the entertainment business. Going to college, working two jobs to support himself, while trying to determine what career could sustain a family consumed his thoughts. His parents dissuaded him from the entertainment industry and pushed him towards the funeral industry. Unbeknownst to him, Harvey's father wanted to open a funeral home. Reluctantly, Harvey followed his father and seemingly gave up on the entertainment industry and his Banking and Finance degree. From 1995 to 2008, Harvey was in the cycle of life.......Eat, Drink and Go to work! It wasn't until he read about a casting call at a local talent agency, that he considered getting back into the entertainment industry. Not merely for himself, but for his son Elijah C. Walker. While training with Lon Bumgarner and the Film Actor's Studio, Elijah would go on to model for corporations, Belk's, Great Wolf Lodge, YMCA, Boy Scouts of America and act in the feature film, The Birth of A Nation (2016). Harvey got back into the business also, working with Aspen Dental and Danika Patrick, the North Carolina Education Lottery, "Like Rat's in A Trap"(indie film) and the HBO mini-series, "Baller's" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John David Washington.Harvey is married to the lovely Crystal Walker and they have three wonderful children, Deja Imani, Jada Elise, and Elijah Christopher.
