Erin Carere -Erin Carere grew up on the banks of the Mississippi River in Minnesota and spent her formative years singing in church (three times a week!) and performing in Minneapolis-based and regional theaters before becoming a professional, touring singer-songwriter. She attended a number of schools to study opera and Broadway performing, including Manhattan School of Music as well as Saint Olaf College in Minnesota, but kept her musical styles varied by going on tour across the US and then Europe with her rock band and then, later, her cabaret troupe, Le Cirque Rouge, with whom she performed vintage songs in vintage dresses. After winning a few awards as a playwright ("My Life as a Phone Psychic,") she moved to Los Angeles where she was signed to "spinout records" and toured as an award winning songwriter and performer, ("Best Female Performer 2010" for poet's lovely daughter by Rockwired mag, SXSW performer that same year), and award winning comedy short film producer ("Cake!" winner, best comedy short, Hollywood & Vine Film Fest.)Carere is an actress, singer, songwriter, author, screenwriter, comedienne, and four-leaf clover finder. "Classically trained, hooked on pop, and schooled in soul." She has studied at Manhattan School of Music as well as with Gary Busby at UCI. She has performed stand up in clubs including Comedy Store in Hollywood and Flappers in Burbank. She has toured the US and Europe as a singer-songwriter as well as with her previous one-woman cabaret, "The One."In June, 2015 Erin starred in a one-woman comedic cabaret at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, StandUpera! She received standing ovations from packed houses. She was commissioned to perform and record the theme for a new Italian film from acclaimed director Piero Sanna. In late 2014 she released a new single, "Come Alive," on iTunes. It has garnered many fans across the global, especially in China, Korea, Japan, and other Asian markets.Venues of note include First Ave in Minneapolis, the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip, and many a dive bar and small music venue throughout the US and Europe. In 2014 she released a live performance album called "Songs," featuring music from songwriter to classical to Broadway. She has performed in musicals and operas off-Broadway as well as regionally, and favorite roles include Christine in Phantom of the Opera, and BOTH Adelaide AND Sarah in Guys and Dolls. She played Cynthia Lennon (John Lennon's first wife) in a brand new rock musical about John Lennon and Yoko Ono, which premiered at the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival and is currently being developed for Broadway. Film and TV credits include "Not Another B Movie," and "Sex Sent Me To The ER," but she especially loved starring as Jean Harlow in a short film about the original platinum blonde. Her songs have been heard in commercials, films, and on Comedy Central. Currently she is writing an action-thriller screenplay with her writing partner, Italian screenwriter, novelist and actor Carlo Carere; as well as a magical realism novel, and she has been commissioned to record the theme for an Italian film shooting this summer (La Bataglia di Gorthene by Piero Sanna.)
