Grew up in Oberlin, Ohio. Graduated with Bachelor of Music degree, Berklee College of Music in Boston. Performed as jazz pianist in New York City (Village Gate, Village Vanguard, Sweet Basil, etc.) in the late 80s. Began work as session keyboardist for rock and pop performers in the early 90s. Scored first short film "The Anniversary", directed by Noah Kline in 1991. Began writing music for television (ABC, CBS, A&E, Showtime, The Learning Channel, etc.) in 1994.
