The Chinese Minster of Foreign Affairs has internationally declared ASURA to be the launch of a new era in Asian Cinema -- finally competing in budget and Box Office with the largest U.S Hollywood blockbusters. ASURA was shot in seven different locations across China with eight months of 2nd unit and more than 2500 VFX shots. ASURA wrapped principle production in December 2016 and will be opening on twenty-five thousand screens across Asia in 2018.STUNTS: Between 1998 - 2007 Kirk helped drive and push the boundaries of modern day action, performing a key role on many of the biggest films of all time -- including playing the lead Night Crawler stunt double in the totally groundbreaking Oval Office fight in the opening scene of X-men 2.ACTOR: Winner, Best Actor: Canadian Independent Film Festival, Toronto 2012 Nominated, Best Actor: ACTRA/UBCP, Canada, 2013HIT 'N STRUM: Kirk wrote, starred, directed, and composed the feature film indie darling, HIT 'N STRUM, which was released in 2012. It had one of the most successful theatrical runs of any micro-budget Canadian film in history, with 80% of the reviews being four stars.Hit 'n Strum premiered at the Canadian Independent Film Festival in Toronto and was given a standing ovation; nearly sweeping the awards, including Best Cinematography (Pieter Stathis), Best Actor (Kirk Caouette), and the William F. White Award.Hit 'n Strum represented Canada at the prestigious Shanghai International Film Festival, where it had sold out screenings and glowing critical reviews. It also represented Canada at Goa - the International Film Festival of India.
