Since then, he was traded to the New York Rangers on August 31, 1996. He has accomplished 50-goal season three times in his 10 NHL seasons. Robitaille set the NHL record of of most goals and total points scored by a left wing in the NHL with 63 goals and 125 points in the 1992-93 season. Robitaille has made the NHL All-Star team five times. In his rookie season of 1986-87, Robitaille captured the Calder Trophy, which is awarded to the NHL rookie of the year. Robitaille was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings, but traded to the Penguins following the 1993-94 season and is, as mentioned before, currently with the Rangers.
