Mel Rosenberg dreamed of being in the movies, but it took him 63 years for the dream to come true. He was born in Winnipeg, Canada on November 12th, 1951, moved to Ottawa when he was two. There he grew up. He played Colonel Amos in high school in the play "After All I Did for Israel". This whetted his appetite for acting. However, after moving to Israel in 1969 he decided to study chemistry and biochemistry and eventually became a professor of microbiology, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of bad breath.Mel is an avid writer of children's stories and books, and produced his own video series of vignettes on science and nonsense for kids, entitled "Show and Tell with Dr. Mel." He sings and plays (sax, piano) jazz standards. Recently he co-founded ourboox.com which is a simple platform for creating, sharing and promoting stories with pictures, videos, etc. Show less «
