American actor Mike Michaels was born Michael Hancock on October 4, 1965 in Augusta, Georgia. Michaels has always been extremely extroverted... and found the spotlight at a very early age, making appearances on local television shows, theatrical productions and print.Mike was adopted at birth and spent the majority of his childhood in Warner Robins, Georgia, with his adopted parents, Ron and Anne, and an adopted sister, Cheryl. From a very early age, Mike was passionate about music and sports, playing the drums and singing, and excelling at most sports. Michaels attended Warner Robins High School where he was a 2-year letterman and starter on the 1981 national championship high school football team. He was an active member of the drama department, including 2 lead roles in the annual WRHS Follies/Revue in 1982 and 1983. Michaels graduated from WRHS in 1983.After high school, Michaels attended the University of Georgia and Georgia Southwestern College, before graduating from Georgia Southern College in June, 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management. Michaels was an average student throughout his academic career. While at Georgia Southern, Michael was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and a Big Brother for Alpha Delta Pi sorority.Michaels lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife, Joni, and two sons, Joshua and Jacob.
