Plinio trained with the legendary theater director/teaching Gene Frankel. Plinio started his training at the acclaimed HB Studios where he studied with Sandy Morris, and Salem Ludwig of the Actors Studio. Born and raised in New York City, he has appeared in various theatre productions, such as Justice in the Miguel Pinero's play "The Sun Always Shines for the Cool,"(directed by Jim Boerlin) God in "Steambath" (directed by Gene Frankel), and as the Porter in Macbeth" (directed by Jose Esquea).
