Rachel Leyco is an award-winning filmmaker and actress. She was born in the Philippines to two registered nurses and moved to Texas at the age of four. When she started middle school, she caught the acting bug after taking a drama class and the rest was left to destiny. She moved to Los Angeles with her family after her freshman year of high school. Rachel performed in numerous theater plays, more notably portraying female versions of male roles, such as Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and LeFou in "Beauty and the Beast."In college, Rachel started to passionately pursue a career in film - both in front and behind the screen. Since then, she's been cast in many commercials, web series, and short films. As a student filmmaker, her work as been recognized by the Emmy's Foundation when her short web series pilot, "The Sub Club," won at the 2013 College Television Awards. In early 2016, Rachel's short film, "Maple's Tree," was an official selection at the Asians On Film festival in downtown LA's Little Tokyo; she also received an Honorable Mention for Best Actress.Rachel continues to create compelling and inspiring stories that elevate the human spirit.
