At age seven, Sonari was cast as Anthony Mackie's son in the feature film "Ascension Day", with a star-studded cast including Ving Rhames, Beverly Todd and John Amos. Unwilling to be a pushy stage mom, his mother insisted he take a break from acting professionally and simply do school and community plays but by age nine, Sonari was selected as the on-air Youth Reporter for the KPFK 90.7 FM Mid-Day News.By age eleven, Sonari was back on the screen, in a Kmart commercial. This was quickly followed by a music video for Grammy award winning R&B artist Avant's "Kiss Goodbye" as well as national commercials for Chrysler (directed by academy award winner Adrian Brody) and AT&T, proving the power of destiny. Building upon this, Sonari's work has included among other projects, network television roles in "The Mindy Project", "Wendell & Vinnie", as well as voiceover/looping work on several episodes of "Law and Order SVU". Sonari is a voice actor for one of the largest video game developers and is the star of the upcoming "Meeting Gary" by Chinese filmmaker, Min Dai.A gifted dancer and singer, Sonari is a member of Bittersweet, the dynamic teen pop /R&B group and has performed at top venues including The Hard Rock Café, The House Of Blues, The Florentine Gardens, The Main Stage at CBS Studios and The LA Convention Center. Sonari's performances with Bittersweet have been broadcast on television screens as far away as Taiwan, the Middle East, Australia and Europe. Sonari has a global perspective that is unusual for his age, having traveled to thirteen countries on four continents.Constantly honing his prodigious talent, Sonari has taken college courses in Sit-Com Writing, Producing and Digital Film Making at UCLA, where he produced, co-wrote and starred in "Perspective" a short film.
