After completing her training (RAD, Al Gilbert and ADAPT) in her hometown of Lethbridge Alberta, Tessa Tamura moved to Vancouver to pursue a professional dance career. Starting out in training companies such as The Source and KTL, she had the opportunity to continue expanding her knowledge of the art under some of the city's most respected and well known teachers and choreographers. Since making the move in 2010, Tessa has grown to love the city and is still excited by all it has to offer. For the past 3 years, she has been given the opportunity to teach a weekly contemporary drop-in class at Harbour Dance Centre and is currently acting as Assistant Director to Joanne Pesusich and The Source Dance Company. Tessa hopes to continue to inspire other dancers to work hard and really go for the things they want to achieve in this industry. She thoroughly enjoys being a mentor to people who are going through the same things that she has also experienced in her past training.Tessa had an early start in her commercial career and since then has been fortunate enough to work on some amazing projects. Along with working on music videos by Mariana's Trench and Nelly Furtado, some of her credits include TV shows "Lucifer" and "Life Sentence" and hit Netflix series "Riverdale".
