Timothy Dean Lee was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 10, 1959. Being challenged with Cerebral Palsy from an early age, dance, art, and performing were diagnosed as part of his therapy and became the key ingredient that nurtured his personal world.high School, he met Al Gilbert, the world renowned choreographer, who not only put him in a pair of Tap shoes, but placed him in the chorus of his High School Musicals and introduced Lee to performing. His summers were spent attending the Interlochen Music Camp, and before college, he joined the nationally lauded performing troupe The Young Americans, where other successful actors and singers got their start, as did Vicky Lawrence.Finding the idea of being a Romantic Lead dreadfully boring, he put his acting aside and majored in Visual Arts at Albion College, and while there, he became an active member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He studied also with Sidney Goodman and Jamie Wyeth at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where he further developed his unique artistic vision. When Tim graduated from Albion, he found major success as a painter and was featured as one of the Absolut Artists, along with Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. After a long and successful career in art, a freak injury shifted Lee's creative focus again. Breaking his arm in 2001, leaving him unable to paint, Lee was forced to take another look at acting. His friend John Leguizamo gave him $200 and suggested he go get his head shots done. His career as a character actor and model began shortly thereafter and, since then, his creative opportunities have expanded and continue to grow.Lee's most recent project casts him in the new Showtime series Nurse Jackie (2009), alongside Edie Falco, in the role of Berger.
