(Ring-a-ling)" Repeating the stories of Cinderella and The Sleeping Beauty once and again, Yvonne Caro Caro discovered her passion for acting.With her parents' support, she took advantage of every single extracurricular activity at school to channel her artistry. Watching this little girl run around the countryside her hometown in Puerto Rico -- from home to school, from school to practice and from practice to her grandmother's house -- one could make out an histrionic aura around her.While completing her BA at the University of Puerto Rico in 1990, she was cast in her first professional production as The Elf, a role created by the director for the mis en scene of Cyrano de Bergerac. The Elf ended up a starring role along side Cyrano and Roxanne, cementing Yvonne's reputation as a talent to watch in the Puerto Rican theater. While performing Cyrano, she gave vows of love, respect and devotion to the theatre, which she renews at every fresh encounter with the stage.Caro Caro is a familiar face in the Puerto Rican film and television industries and her voice can be heard in many radio spots, T.V. voice-overs and innumerable industrial phone recordings, and her work on the stage as Tina Modotti in A Dream of Revolution, Antigone in Antigone and many other well known characters, has been celebrated throughout Latin America.Yvonne also has under her belt an MFA in acting from UCLA's School of Theatre, Film and Television, which she completed in 1998.On American TV, Yvonne recently guest starred as Lupe for UPN's sitcom, Girlfriends.Of all her inspirations, the most constant muse has always been her family.
