Chase Edmunds serves as partner and colleague to Jack Bauer, though that does not mean that he shares all of his secrets with the CTU agent. Chase, for example, is in a secret relationship with Kim Bauer, whom Jack is understandably protective of. Before coming to the CTU, he served as a police officer with the Metro Police Department's Emergency Response Team. He is also a weapons expert and champion sharpshooter. Though he idolizes Jack to a certain degree, he is not afraid to do his own thing -- like date his mentor's only daughter.
