Christine Pauley went out with Alan Shore, but she suddenly tried to run him over, resulting in her hospitalisation. She then called Alan stating that she didn't belong in such a hospital and that they were feeding her drugs even though she didn't need them and that she was clearly cured, with no thanks to the hospital staff who, again, have only stuffed her with pills. Alan reluctantly agreed to help and got her out on the condition that he's her legal guardian until she flies out of Boston to her parents' in Illinois; but she keeps coming back, and keeps making excuses for 'missing' the plane to Illinois. Everyone, except Alan, can see right through her, her mental state, and her devious plan. She comes to Alan in his office claiming that she has a meeting with Bernie Levinson, a Senior Partner, at the firm that she was formerly employed at, and then at the firm's party claiming that Bernie hired her back, and she consulted her doctor who said 'the less change, the better' and her legal guardian's not in Chicago, Illinois, but is Boston; she was released to Alan. Christine then appears in court and reveals that she's opposing counsel on the exact same case he's trying. She, however, does go back to Chicago when things don't work out how she'd hoped and hasn't returned to Boston and back into Alan's life since. Show less «
