Quiet and intelligent, Gorobei is the second of the samurai to join the group. Despite his name, he's really not that tough, but he's good at disciplining his men, as well as other comrades, such as when he helps to test Kikuchiyo one night. He's a skilled archer, as shown in the first major battle.
