Hexidecimal was created in the explosion that destroyed Mainframe's sister city. This explosion occured when the newly upgraded virus Gigabyte was caught in a prototype web portal. The reaction caused Gigabyte to split into Megabyte and Hexidecimal. Megabyte left the ruined city to begin his takeover of Mainframe while Hexidecimal stayed along with the energy sucking worms called nulls which were the remains of the inhabitants of the city. The ruins became known as Lost Angles. Hexidecimal remained there as an antagonist to both Bob and Megabyte - at times demonstrating the ability to destroy or save Mainframe at will. At one point, Hexidecimal became damaged by coming in contact with the sidewall of a game cube. Megabyte repaired her damaged body, but attempted to control her by fixing a collar around her neck. Hexidecimal eventually broke from Megabytes control, but her mind remained damaged. In her deranged state, she kidnapped Bob and tried to seduce him, but Bob was able to partially repair her. He was even able to change her face, normally represented my static masks that she changed to show different emotions, to allow her full facial articulation. In return, Hexidecimal became a benign virus and freed Bob. She later joined Bob and the others eventually becoming a sprite like them. Unfortunately, Hexidecimal lost most of her powers in the change, so she was unable to help them repel the quantum virus Daemon. The others fell under Daemon's control, but Daemon rejected Hexidecimal as a fallen virus. To save the others, Hexidecimal absorbed energy from Mainframe's core and regained her viral powers. She then tried to take on Daemon in hand to hand combat, but after fighting Daemon to a draw, she sacrificed herself to clear Daemon's infection from the net . Her last gift to the others before leaving Mainframe was a bit of code that allowed Enso Matrix to unlock the personality of his father who was nullified in the explosion that created her.
