Nobu is a war hero and a busniess partner of Iwamura electric. In the book, Nobu is riddled with black and red burn marks, and is missing an arm. Despite his usual hate for geishas, he falls for Sayuri and frequently requests her for company. He tries to purchase her mizuage, but when the bidding breaches 8000 yen, he stops. When WWII breaks out, he finds Sayuri a place to stay, scorning her for allowing herself to have such a poor danna. After Sayuri has realtions with the American General(Prime Minister Sato in the book), Nobu refuses to speak to her again. Show less «
